Afternoon Tea

Please join us on Sunday September 24th for a decadent tea to remember inside of historic Union Station. Tickets include two teas of your choice paired with an assortment of chef-made finger sandwiches, scones, cakes, and patisserie, served in Pierpont’s private and luxurious Rose Room.

The delightful practice of afternoon tea began in the 1840’s with the Duchess of Bedford, who experienced a “sinking feeling” in the long hours between lunch and dinner. She found that some cake and tea was the cure, and her habit quickly became a ritual across all of Britain. Come savor hot tea from around the world, enjoy a menu designed by our executive chef, and celebrate this custom with Pierpont’s to see what makes afternoon tea a time-honored tradition.
